The if is sometime so tight that it is difficult to remove the filter basket for washing. The reason our original filter basket was no longer usable is because the pull tab broke when trying to get the filter basket out of the coffee maker. A more robust filter basket pull tab could help, but if the coffee maker were designed for a looser fit of the basket you wouldn't need a strong pull tab. Wondered why it took almost 3 weeks.
